Hadley Kate Bush passed away July 26, 2015 in the arms of her loving parents due to complications involving her underdeveloped lungs as a result of having been diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). She lived six loved-filled days. The Fore Hadley Foundation was founded in Hadley’s memory not just to honor her life, but to better support families affected by CDH and to help find a cure for this extremely serious but relatively unknown birth defect. Now in its eighth year, the Fore Hadley Golf Classic has raised over $800,000 in support of our mission to defeat CDH once and for all. As the flagship fundraising event of Fore Hadley, it has funded groundbreaking CDH research in partnership with eight of the leading pediatric care centers in the United States, provided substantial scholarships to ten future leaders of the CDH community, and provided financial and logistical support to over 700 families in 45 states across the country dealing with the unfortunate circumstances of a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia diagnosis. One of the hidden gems of metro Atlanta, Dunwoody Country Club, designed in 1965 by Willard Byrd, has long been regarded as one of the top golf facilities in the southeast. From the tips, the course plays 7,040 yards long. From the forward tees, the course length drops to 5,320 yards. The natural, rolling terrain features dramatic elevation changes, creating spectacular vistas. The mix of hardwood, tall Georgia pine and dogwood trees create a unique environment for golf. Four demanding par 3’s and four risk/reward par 5’s highlight the layout. The remaining par 4’s dogleg so much that only one green is visible from the tee on any of them.
